Perast is an UNESCO protected old town in the Bay of Kotor. According to the Touristic Master plan for Montenegro Perast is rated as a top touristic destination. It lies beneath the St. Elijah Hill (873 meters), and overlooks the Verige strait, the narrowest part of the Boka Bay.
